In this summer course offered by Amsterdam Brain and Cognition (ABC) of the University of Amsterdam, lecturers will go into great detail about the development of the brain, and more specifically, how early life experiences influence the development and functioning of the brain and cognitive processes. The last day of the Summer School, Friday June 27th, is an open symposium, led by this year's holder of the Frijda Honorary Chair in Cognitive Science, prof. dr. Micheal Meaney.

Target group
The Summer School is open to master's students in fields relating to cognitive (neuros)science, neuroscience, cognitive psychology, medicine etc. Candidates in PhD programs related to these fields are also welcome to apply.

Course aim
Through lectures and workgroups, participants of the Summer School will explore current research surrounding this topic and develop their own research proposal.
