Target group
The European Summer Program of Lille catholic University is a multidisciplinary program designed for students who are looking for a comprehensive educational experience abroad. Our students come from all over the world. This variety makes the program even richer for participants when they are able to mix with their international students sharing a similar experience in France. Students should have completed secondary education in their home country and have a good knowledge of English.
Course aim
This course is an introduction to the economic and managerial aspects of Ecology and to how industries can influence their R&D and production to make greener products (production, localization, means of transportation, salary distribution). The course will start by defining sustainable development and the reasons for industries and businesses to integrate green concepts in their development. It will address the costs borne by industries wanting to have an environmentally-friendly reputation. This course will also address the role of public authorities and international organizations such as the United Nation Organization and the European Union. Several French case studies such as like green management in an urban area and in agricultural areas and promotion of green transportation will be included. Share of students experience. Introduction to intercultural communication to better understand the European people and culture and develop communication skills in an international setting.
