Train professionals who are able to think in terms of sustainability, with an interdisciplinary view and prepared to integrate more sustainable options in their areas: design, purchasing, production, sales, communication and management.The course will provide students with a holistic view of sustainability and the tools to implement sustainability at each stage of the product life cycle.This comprehensive vision enables students to assess independently the overall context of the specific area they work in. Designers for example, will understand the implications their designs have throughout the product life cycle, and this comprehension will allow them to optimize decision-making and reduce its negative impact. And so will happen too to a responsible of materials purchasing, a production or logistics manager and other professionals involved in the value chain.At the end of the course, student will know new ways of thinking (paradigms), doing (techniques) and managing (values and capacities), which will allow them to design the future fashion, an industry that given the current economic and environmental situation needs to redesign itself to ensure a captivating continuity, full of possibilities.

The course is addressed to professionals from the world of fashion (designers, purchasers, production and logistics managers, professionals from marketing and communication), entrepreneurs, owners or store managers, teachers, students and to all those interested in fashion who want to obtain the basic necessary skills to development more sustainable practices in the field they work in.

Course aim
To ensure a good integration of sustainability into our businesses, specific expertise and skills must be accompanied by a strategic vision and a new way of understanding the business of fashion.The broad scope of sustainable fashion requires in-depth preparation, offered in Spain for the very first time through this for on-site Summer Course. A key factor to the success of this course is its interdisciplinary nature, not only in the approach to the contents but also the origin of the participants (teachers, guests and students).
