Expand your knowledge of the fast-paced fashion industry and the creative processes involved in designing and making a garment with this 2-week course focused upon Fashion Design. You will spend your time working with fashion lecturers to develop a very personal fashion identity, whilst getting the chance to appreciate British fashion design and culture. Through practical workshops you will develop your own design identity and be taught how to develop your ideas into a finished Fashion product during this 2 week course. Workshops include:•Sketchbook research •Fashion 'Cool and uncool identities'•Fashion Jewellery •Fashion Illustration •Garment creation and style •Textile design for print •Vintage •Colour palettes•Creating and recording shapes in 3D•Creative Draping and Subtractive Cutting •Pattern Cutting•Fashion shootYou will be encouraged to experiment during the course with a range of materials and techniques - you'll also have the chance to showcase the garments, prints and accessories you make during the course with a styled fashion photo-shoot using professional models.

Target group
AUB Summer Courses are open to all those aged 17 or over at the time of taking the course. Our summer courses are attended by school leavers, university students and creative professionals wishing to up-skill or change careers.You do not need any previous experience or qualifications to take this course, just an interest in Fashion and a desire to learn new skills. Although not essential, some basic sewing skills would be helpful.

There are laundry facilities within each building, payphones, lockable storage lockers and secure swipe key systems to enter the building. Our campus is patrolled 24 hours a day by our on-site security team.
