The main objective of the course is to give the student the appropriate and necessary information about the new medium in the fashion world.Learn and analyze the history of fashion in film.Criticize and discuss existing fashion films and productions related to fashion film that have been influential in the fashion world(music videos, TV series, shorts, etc.)Recognize the different genres within fashion film.Understand how to use a fashion film according to specific necessities.Become familiarized with the key ingredients that are crucial to creating an impactful and visually pleasing film.Know the vital steps necessary to take before getting to work and how to budget a film.Be able to create an appealing fashion film for a fashion brand.The know-how of what to do after creating a fashion film (post-production, communication, distribution, etc.).

With the emergence of the evolving genre of Fashion Films IED Madrid offers a course that divulges into the history of the genre, the diversity of what is available in fashion film and how to use this newest medium for fashion, the new catwalk.A course based on theory and history with hands on experience in critiquing existing fashion films and learning from experts in the growing field, using the technical tools and nurturing an individual sensibility.Along with a theoretical introduction to the newest genre, students will learn from the some of the best in the fashion film world about how to create a fashion film to express a brands values, as an artistic form of expression and/or as a marketing tool.
