Our practical three-week filmmaking course is the perfect introduction for you to explore the imaginative, technical and business aspects of making a film. The course is designed for a range of levels - from students with little orno experience to those with more developed skills.We believe you learn best by 'doing and making'. students will work together as film crews, rotating roles, to take a short film from script to screen. Through practical workshops and hands on experience you'll discover the skills and confidence to make your own films come to life.Week 1: Pre Production. you'll learn how to tell a story and develop a script. As well as looking at narrative, character and plot, we'll examine what makes a short film, how to develop and pitch ideas, and scenes from a classic film.Week 2: Production. On location and in the studio you will learn to use technical equipment: camera, sound, mixers, and lighting. you'll start to learn about direction, working with actors, and roles in a crew.Week 3: Post Production. you'll work in our edit suites learning how to edit picture and sound together. Our professional editors will helpyou make creative decisions and use soundto enhance the story. You'll prepare your final film for distribution.
