Let this summercourse introduce you to the fundamentals of Finance & Accounting. This course provides a delightful learning experience that will, lead to in-depth knowledge of the management of a company, from a financial point of view. Furthermore, after teaching the fundamentals, we will add both a Strategy and Marketing perspective.
The course starts with providing insight in strategic concepts of mission, vision and strategy. After this, the interrelation of Finance, Accounting & Marketing are addressed. Next, we cover the basic concepts of the marketing mix, Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning (STP)and head on to marketing return concepts and brand- and customer valuation.
The entire course is brought from a managerial perspective where planning and control, advanced allocation techniques and variance analysis is covered.During the course students reside and are taught on Nyenrode's beautiful 13th Century Castle Estate.

Course aim
The aim of this course is to realise the following content:Management style is dealt with through the concepts of Balanced Scorecard methodology;
The interrelation with the fields of finance, accounting and marketing is elaborated upon;
The field of finance, investment appraisal and risk return analysis is discussed and applied in practice;
Accounting is brought from managerial perspective where planning and control, advanced allocation techniques and variance analysis is part of the course;
Marketing is brought to you by interrelating marketing with the above mentioned aspects. After hitting the basic concepts of marketing mix, segmenting, targeting and positioning we head on to marketing return concepts and brand- and customer valuation.
