Biodiversity in different ecosystems and natural as well as anthropogenic changesevident in space and time are the focus of interest of many scientists at the GoetheUniversity of Frankfurt.Numerous organisms, their interactions and ecological functions are still unknown, butmodern methods including molecular techniques and modeling give fascinating newinsights into biodiversity structures and processes over large scales in space and time.We are looking forward to teaching and sharing our knowledge on different subjectsincluding among others (preliminary structure and titles):• How fungi can help to save the world! Integrative research on diversity,systematics and applied aspects of fungi• Biodiversity in time and space: paleoceanography and paleoclimatology• Biodiversity in freshwater ecosystems for assessment of anthropogenic impacts• Man and the biosphere in the past and the present

students in a Masters programme or advanced in a Bachelor programme (at least two years of studies), subject orientation: biology, geology, environmental sciences, geography

Students registered at one of our partner universities will receive an attractive discount. Please contact us. Please note that all participants have to take care of the visa application including covering the visa application fees themselves if they need a visa for Germany. Students enrolled at Goethe University are given the opportunity of taking part in Frankfurt Summer School for free if they are willing to support the international participants as buddies.
