This course is composed of:
- a French intensive course 48 hours - 4 ECTS credits
- an Introduction to Intercultural Communication 12 hours - 2 ECTS credits
- Keys for understanding French Society 12 hours - 2 ECTS credits
- French Culture OR Tourism in France OR Health in French 12 contact hours - 2 ECTS credits

Target group
The European Summer Program of Lille Catholic University is a multidisciplinary program designed for students who are looking for a comprehensive educational experience abroad. Our students come from all over the world. This variety makes the program even richer for participants when they are able to mix with other international students sharing a similar experience in France. Students should have completed secondary education in their home country and have a good knowledge of English.
Course aim
This course aims at giving international students an overview of French society nowadays.After receiving some keys to understand French society, they will study major aspects of French culture:
- to have an overview about French culture: the cultural life, the main trends of French Culture (arts, music, gastronomy...)
- French Tourism: history, characterics and evolution of Tourism in France- French health : French healthcare system, health and social protection in France, context, actors and challenges in health in France

Course fee
EUR 2490: The cost of the program includes:
- tuition fees
- accommodation in university halls of residence
-breakfat an lunch on weekdays
- 2 fieldtrips
- 1 week end of 3 days in Paris
- 3 group dinners
- a social and cultural program.
The cost of the program does not include:
- Passport and visa when necessary
- Travel to and from the country of origin
- Meals at weekends
- Travel and health insurance (mandatory)
- Personal expenses and anything not listed as included
