This two-week intensive programme revolves around the challenges that cities face regarding the transition towards a low carbon economy. After two successful editions of the PhD Summer School in Frankfurt, the city will be once again a hotspot for transition ideas!

Course leader
The programme is organised by Climate-KIC and its academic cooperation partners Provadis School of International Technology and Management AG, Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University Frankfurt and Technical University Darmstadt.

Target group
The Summer School is open for students from all countries and a wide variety of disciplines (Engineering, social sciences, economics, architecture, environmental sciences etc.)

Course aim
During the Climate-KIC PhD Summer School in Frankfurt it is up to you to develop innovative concepts how a city can foster the transition to a sustainable and internationally competitive economy. Work creatively in small interdisciplinary teams to find ways to create and implement solutions for combining economic and ecological ambitions. After two weeks of intensive work, all teams will present the results to representatives of the city of Frankfurt, their fellow students and an external jury.

Fee info
EUR 500: We Charge 500 for PhDs from Climate-KIC partner universities and EU citizens. EUR 2000: We Charge 2000 for non-EU passport holders.
