The increase of longevity of the population is one of the major achievements of the twentieth century. This rapid demographic transition poses huge challenges to many countries on diverse areas. This summer course will inform you - from different prospective - about the factors that keep older people healthy and participating in the society. The focus is a better understanding of the ageing process, the prevention of functional decline and preservation of autonomy.The program consists of: Lectures, workshops, excursions and presentations.
