In'to the Future is an intensive communication and self-management programme. In one week, you will be introduced to an interesting package of five basic skills. These will enable you to give yourself a tremendous boost both now - while you're studying - and in the future. The topics covered are personal branding & presenting, international networking, time management, speed reading & mind mapping, and new forms of presentation: prezi, TedX, Pecha Kucha.Personal branding & presentingWhat is your unique talent? In which ways do you stand out from the others? 'Personal branding' will provide you with tips for profiling and presenting yourself more strongly. You will discover your inherent quality and how you can communicate and show them to your advantage in a well thought-out manner, while remaining true to yourself. New ways of presentingLong-winded presentations and PowerPoint slides crammed with information are a thing of the past. New tools and formats are making presentations dynamic again, so you can keep your audience enthralled. Discover how to breathe new life into the old, familiar presentation methods and excel with an inspiring and gripping story! International networkingIt's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know. An extensive and probably international network - in real life and online - is indispensable to achieving your ambitions. Wherever you are in the world, you will want to establish new relationships and maintain existing ones. We prepare you for building up your network, telling your story in English, adding to your vocabulary and boosting your confidence!Time managementStudying and writing your thesis takes time. It is often a question of perseverance, stamina and hard work. How can you ensure you study more efficiently, meet your deadlines andstill have time left to do other things? We will teach you how to establish your aims and priorities, deal with any procrastination tendencies, think ahead and make choices.Speed reading & mind mappingAre you drowning in all that reading and studying? You can learn to double your reading speed and, with the help of mind mapping, use your brain to the fullest. In no time, you will have trained your eyes and brains to read rapidly and to process information. A skill you'll never lose!Dates and times:The programme consists of five days of 2 x 3 hours: 9.00 - 12.00 and 13.00- 16.00. In addition, there is about 1 hour of self-study each day.
