Ireland is to be found somewhere between Boston and Berlin, geographically, economically and emotionally.
It is a young country, built on an ancient Island, with a rich and turbulent history. Breathtaking scenery, unique people and an enthralling culture all of which can be experienced at the Waterford Summer School at WIT, in this compact island networked to the heart of Europe.
Waterford is the oldest Irish city, founded in 914 AD by Vikings on the banks of the River Suir in the South-East of Ireland. A prosperous port city for almost 1,100 years, the city is home to the vibrant social, cultural, academic and economic life of the region.
