Today, there is a strong focus on International Public Health advocated by UN, WHO and EU. There is also an increasing demand for professionals in arenas of health promotion and disease prevention. Many determinants of health have been revealed within societal and environmental conditions. The slogan "Health is Wealth" is often heard. "Wealth" is the most important determinant of "Health". Reducing inequality and improving environmental conditions is a universal responsibility. OUC is now offering a summer course in International Public Health, to contribute to a better understanding of public health in a globalized world.

Professionals within the field of International Public Health and others interested in the subject.

Course aim
The course is based on lectures, group work, field trips and self-studies. -international and national interfaces on framework agreements and guidelines -determinants of health, identification and future trends-health promotional initiatives -welfare systems-ethical considerations-health care systems and best practice
