International Relations

This course is an introduction to the study of political themes that are international in scope. The course is divided into four major thematic areas: Theory and Practice of International Relations, War and the Pursuit of Order, Economics and the International System and Overcoming Global Systemic Challenges. Topics include relations between states, international organizations such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank, and nongovernmental bodies, including multinational corporations, nonprofit organizations, and armed groups.

Target group
It is designed for students majoring in any field of social sciences and humanities, and students with a general interest in politics and international affairs.

Course aim
Introduce students with contemporary international political issues, make them familiar with major theories and problems of political science and modern politics, as well as their effect to global political, economical and social environment.

EUR 1300[Convert to USD]Tuition fee includes this course with all the materials and Blackboard access. It also includes Croatian studies course with various activities such as visits to museums, Parliament and company visit. Students will also have two field trips included during the weekends.

Branimir Vidmarovic is a Research Associate at the Economics Department of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. In 2011, he was awarded his PhD with the thesis Political and Historical problems and contradictions in China-Japan Relations 2001-2
