Media organisations are facing challenges as their environment isreconfigured by digital convergence of and new ways of producingcontent to multiple platforms. The course focuses on digital media, ICT and how journalism and content production are reconfigured within the paradigm of "networked journalism" or journalism 2.0.
Specifically, the course focuses on technological and open innovations in news and data journalism and how these affect journalistic working practices and the profession at large. The course explores the convergence of news media and related organizational, technological and journalistic innovations. The aim of the course is to give both a theoretical and practical understanding of digital media focusing on publishing, reporting and technical skills.

In the evaluation of the students performance, special emphasis is placed on the extent to which the student: Is able to work theoretically, methodologically and analytically with key subject areas and in a multidisciplinary manner

EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
