The Laboratory for the Study of Movement (LEM) is based within the scenographic department of the internationally renowned Lecoq School in Paris. In the summer of 2012 the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland will be hosting a week-long LEM workshop with Pascale Lecoq and Joyce Deans.
Students will spend a week exploring the relationship between movement, spatial dynamics and construction.Students will experiment with the dynamics of colour and emotion, translating spacial discoveries into the creation of a mobile structure, mask or dynamic costume.The course will provide a stimulating, supportive and challenging environment in which students can explore and learn.A full course outline can be found on our website.

Pascale LecoqPascale attended Jacques Lecoqs course at the Paris Fine Arts School (Architecture Department) and later joined the research team at the LEM where she is now teaching. Pascale is also an architect and scenograher working for several museum
