During the last decades the Netherlands have been at the forefront of innovation in science and mathematics education. Currently Dutch curriculum development projects are in progress for mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and advanced integrated science and mathematics.
This Summer School will provide secondary science and mathematics teachers and educators, curriculum developers and researchers with a blend of lectures, seminars and other activities on curriculum development and related research. The programme will be tailored to the interests of both mathematics and science education.
The Freudenthal Institute in Science and Mathematics Education in Utrecht ranks among the leading institutions in the world, housing experts in science and mathematics education in the fields of realistic mathematics education (RME), the context based approach (CBA) and curriculum development.
