The engineering sciences play an integral role in the spectrum of activities at the Bauhaus-Universitat Weimar. The Faculty of Civil Engineering has provided five decades of well-established and renowned education in the field of engineering.
Due to recent structural changes in the business world, the teaching and research programme of the faculty has been considerably extended and adjusted to meet new requirements, based on the complex structure of the faculty, which is unique in Germany.

Target group
The course is tailored to advanced master's and doctoral candidates from Germany and abroad in the fields of structural engineering and modeling, natural hazards and risk management, geodynamics and foundation engineering.
Course aim
The primary focus is the field of construction in connection with the optimisation of technology, environmental protection, the efficient use of natural resources and sustainability.
