In health care multidisciplinary cooperation (integrated care) is increasingly important in order to offer good care. In this course you will become capable in preparing for and participating in multidisciplinary discussions. These discussions will be concluded in a multiprofessional plan for f.e. assessment or treatment.

The course also pays attention to the intercultural aspects of multiprofessional communication.In May and June, individual theoretical study on diagnosis and treatment of the problems of patients after a stroke is needed. You will start from your own profession and the ICF-system (International classification of functioning, disability and health www.who.int). Support and exchange will take place in a digital environment.

Target group
Students in the second or third year of the study in the field of Cesar Therapy, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social work or Speech-Language Pathology. The peer groups are multidisciplinary (f.e. medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and speech-language therapy). To guarantee the multidisciplinary aspect of the course we will make a selection. Your written down motivation (included in your application) will help us in making a selection.

Course aim
The student is able to prepare, conduct and evaluate multidisciplinary interaction (MDI). That should result in:1. a multiprofessional assessment or treatment plan;2. a coherent referrals policy within the care chain; and,3. an information plan.
