Future nonprofit managers need to understand how non-profit policy is developed and exercised, and how it is changing in the context of new cultural agendas, europeanisation and the growth of global industries. The course takes a broad definition of non-profit organisations. We will include the arts, popular culture, cultural identity, theatres museums and heritage, as well as industries such as film, music, broadcasting, and publishing but also scientific institutions as well as universities.

Course aim
The course aims to prepare students for jobs in the non‐profit sector and gives them practical insights into all the different aspects of non‐profit management from the legal framework and governance to marketing, lobbying and fundraising over to business plans. Various case studies will provide students with opportunities to prove the knowledge acquired throughout the course and to deepen their teamwork and presentation skills.

EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
