On this creative, informative and practical summer school you will experience a lively academic programme that combines contemporary arts with the study of British culture, history and heritage. The three weeks will develop your skills in a range of disciplines, inspire and broaden your knowledge of the arts through the interaction with new people and the exploration of new ways of working, and introduce you to Nottingham and the UK from a historical perspective and demonstrate how the city is a contemporary, exciting place to be. You will also build your confidence when talking about your work and your international experience and create new friendships between you, fellow students and academic staff. The ideal attendee is someone who wants to broaden their vision and develop a network of friends and practitioners from around the world. The programme is ideal for UK and international delegates interested in social and cultural history and how it is represented today. It is also a great opportunity to explore your personal approach to the arts within a modern studio environment.

Attendees are welcome from the UK, Europe and around the world. You must be 18 or above and have an interest in history and heritage and how it is presented today.

This summer course will explore museum studies, architectural history and contemporary fine art, to give you a broad understanding of history and heritage in the UK today.
