BSc in Biology or Agrobiology, or relevant science BSc; Graduate course in Crop physiology and Crop pests or an equivalent course is recommended
Course aim
The student will be able to:- Characterise the most important organic production systems of fruit and vegetables in a temperate climate Explain the basic principles of organic production of fruit and vegetables in EU - Explain the importance of growing conditions and cultivation techniques for yield and quality of organic production with special focus on supply with nutrition and water - Reflect on cultivation techniques to prevent and control diseases, pests and weed for the purpose of optimal quality
