The development of the grid is amongst the greatest engineering achievements during times. The continuous development of the grid is a big challenge as many countries seek to be independent of fossil fuels. Therefore the introduction of renewable energy and reduction of emissions.
To succeed the smart grid must be developed. Smart grid is not an exact science but a method of merging known technologies as a concept. The summer school will cover some of the subjects with potential to develop the smart grid: Automation in the grid. Energy devices with storage possibilities. Renewable energy demonstration projects. Future implementation of renewable energy. Perform actual smart grid project.

1. To give the students knowledge about the challenges in a future network system.
2. To contribute to students attainment of knowledge and comprehension of the problem-based project oriented learning method.

EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/ EEA/ Switzerland.
