Step from the world of books into what theories imply for real-life; budgeting, deadlines, working with multidisciplinary teams, personal strengths and weaknesses; all challenges a project manager needs to deal with.
This course offers a theoretical background but especially a practical approach to project management. Participants will focus on how they deal with the challenges all projects face, in terms of budgeting, deadlines, working with multidisciplinary teams, and the personal strenghts and weaknesses of a project team leader. During this course participants will work on a project in teams, allowing them to experience the different factors that determine the successful completion of a project.

Target group
The programme is especially designed for students whose field of study may lead them to becoming responsible for projects, project management or approaching tasks project-wise. Starting from a theoretical background the programme offers a strong practical orientation. Participants should be able and willing to step outside the world of books into what theories imply for real-life situations. A study background in business, technology and/or finance is convenient, enthusiasm and an open mind are necessary!
Course aim
The aim of the course is to further introduce participants to and deepen their knowledge of the important theoretical background and management skills needed to complete projects successfully. It aims to provide a transfer of knowledge into a practical approach of managing projects. The course aims to strengthen the participants personal (international) competences.
