Course aim
Knowledge of the main types of goods in the economy, and the conflict between the individual and common interest. Ability to analyze how ill-defined property rights, and non-exclusion affect the provision and consumption of externalities, and public and common goods. Student should be able to discuss the functioning of the markets, depending on the properties of goods, and draw conclusions, concerning the need for government intervention.
