The summer of 2011, UCU and the Faculty of Science offer prospective Science students an oppertuntiy to study topics from different but related fields of sciences and applications of science, engage in lab visits and small workshops as well as attend lectures on specialised areas of current research.

Target group
Secondary school students in the Netherlands and across the world, both in international schools as well as ordinary secondary schools, with keen interest in Sciences. Students accepted to University College Utrecht (with a prospective major in Science), or to a BSc programme at the Faculty of Science for a start in September 2011 will also be invited to participate.

Course aim
The aim is to provide prospective Science students with a proper understanding on what the current developments in Sciences are, which open questions are addressed by modern research as well as how Science fits into the larger picture of society. (maximum number of participants: 35).
