Social entrepreneruship is geared at providing innovative solutions to address societal problems. This may be non-profit, but can also be for profit businesses. Entrepreneurial people are setting up organisations that address poverty, disease, lack of education, human rights, on both small and large scales.
This course will study the subject of social entrepreneurship by looking at problems, methods and outcomes. This course is part of the Entrepreneurship track.

Target group
All students that have an interest in societal problems and how they can be addressed by non government organisations. No prior knowledge of business or economics is needed. To get most out of this course we recommend combining it with other courses of the Entrepreneurship track.
Course aim
This course will provide an overview of social entrepreneurship by looking into societal problems they address and innovative business models to tackle them. Attention will be paid to business model generation and academic literature on social entrepreneurship.
