Software entrepreneurship in Science

Want to start a science based business? In this course we take 12 days to create a business plan and a software prototype based on a scientific theory, patent, concept, paper, or idea. On the last day your implementation and business plan are evaluated by a board of investors in a Dragon's Den style session. The course is adorned with lectures from experienced science based entrepreneurs, academic experts on valorization, innovation, and science based entrepreneurship.

Target group
Students from the sciences who are creative. Typically: Students from mathematics, computer science, chemistry, physics, bio-medical, life-sciences, and business and ICT.

Course aim
At the end of the course you will:- know what developing a software product entails- be able to work with the scientific theories of product software- be able to start an own science based software enterpriseIf your idea and execution are good enough, seed investments are available from several sources, such as private investors and seed funds.
