Film, Theatre & Television at the University of Reading is a long-establisheddepartment with a strong tradition of critical inquiry through practical work.Teaching and research in the Department are concerned with the ways thatideas are embodied in performances and productions. The Summer Schoolwill draw on current research in the Department into the representation ofspace in films, television programmes and performances.

Target group
Current undergraduates studying television, theatre and performance, or a related discipline. The course is particularly appropriate for students intending to pursue postgraduate research through practice in the UK.

Course aim
Students will gain practical skills and experience and an understanding of how critical inquiry can be pursued through creative practice. Students will develop skills in devising practical work, carrying out independent research and working across the mediums of film, television and theatre.
