Preliminary schedule, all visits need to be confirmed: During this study trip you will learn more about the historical and current processes leading to economic, political, and social reforms in East Central Europe. This region is rich with a diverse set of ethnic cultures, economic developments, and political experiments before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.


This trip will take you to amazing cities as Berlin, Krakow, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Munich. In addition to the "emerging markets" movement among countries who choose to move toward Western capitalism and democracy, the students will also learn about activities including legal, economic, political, and social changes which are currently underway. In addition to the official visits, you will have the opportunity to go on exciting cultural excursions during the trip!

Please note that participants need to attend a compulsory Intercultural Communication Workshop (5 hrs) and a study trip briefing on 3 and 4 July in Maastricht.
