We do our best to make the whole learning and skills acquiring experience as interesting and interactive as possible. There are only some introductory lectures to set the mood of the summer school and provide some inspiration for your films.rnrnAfterwards there are a few practical hands-on workshops to equip you with the necessary skills in the field. You will learn to prepare a scenario, a storyboard and also to handle your camera and edit your material into a film at the end.rnrnAs soon your scenario is ready, you get your team together, get your camera and go out to your neighborhood and start filming. It is up to you and your creative team, what your short documentary will be about, the only two things that we will ask from you are - (1.) it should be about a specific neighborhood of Riga, and (2.) it should cover some aspect of Riga identity. rnrnWe will help you as much as we can but in fact, from this point on, you are on your own. You talk to your sources, you do your research, you decide the angles of your frames, you are responsible for your sound recording etc.rnNo unnecessary and lengthy lecturing takes place during the summer school - we do everything in our power to get you to start your production as soon as possible!
