ROLANG School organizes the summer school on Romanian language between 28th of July - 8th of August 2014, in the city of Sibiu in association with the Journalism Faculty of "Lucian Blaga" University, Sibiu.Formerly the center of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes and was designated a European Capital of Culture for the year 2007, in tandem with Luxembourg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibiu).The program includes morning activities (30 hours of class courses) and afternoon activities (8 hours of immersion courses, museum visits, film screenings, guided tour of Sibiu city center).Morning activities: Language coursesThe language program includes 30 hours of Romanian language for beginner, intermediate and advanced level.Class course schedule: 3 hours / day, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 1 pmCourses location: Faculty of Journalism, "Lucian Blaga" University, 3 Brutarilor Street, Sibiu.The minimum number of students for each group is 5 with a maximum of 9.Afternoon activities-immersion courses: twice a week, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm-guided tour of Sibiu city center (English speaking guide)-museum visits (English speaking guide): once a week, from 3:30 pm-film screenings (English subtitles): once a week, from 3:30 pmAt the end of the course, the students will give a test and will receive a certificate proving their level of Romanian language.The course materials are based on ROLANG manual, "Learn Romanian. Apprenez le Roumain" by Mona Moldoveanu Pologea (manual, exercise book, audio CD). Other video and audio materials will also be used.The instructors are PhD holders, authors of Romanian manuals for foreigners and University of Bucharest teachers.

Target group
The program addresses foreigners that have an interest in learning Romanian. Anyone that is at least 18 years old can participate in the summer language program. The program is suitable for students of all levels of the language skills. The minimum number of students for each group is 5 with a maximum of 9.

The course aims at developing the students' skills on Romanian language and at getting them familiar to Romanian language and culture.
