CONTENT: The participants of this summer school would be given the possibility of being trained on issues related to security and defense dealt by NATO, OSCE, EU and UN as well as be acquainted with the `cooperative approach` on the framework of these organizations of which the Albanian governmental policy is an integral part. The curriculum will be taught by well-known academics and experts in the area of security and defense. The sessions are designed to cover the relevance and respective policies of the following organizations:
1) NATO and its principles, strategies, development of the new strategic concept, enlargement and the relations with South-Eastern European countries
2) EU and its security policy (CSDP, ESDP) and peacekeeping operations
3) UN; peace and security, peacekeeping, peacemaking and preventive action,
4) OSCE and its political-military, economic-environmental and human dimension
5) Albanian security and defense policy, its coherence and conformity towards these organizations
TARGET GROUP: The call is open to journalist and students of journalism and communication in their last year of studies.
