The Summer Course is a 3-week event offering intensive university-level courses and multicultural teamwork linked to a real business problem you will need to solve. Elements of the Summer Course:
•Business: Marketing, Finance, Product Development, Supply Chain Management
•Environmental Science: Bioenergy, Ecological Footprint, Cradle-to-Cradle concept, water analysis, the water cycle
•Management Skills: problem-solving, project management, managing cultural differences
At the heart of the Summer Course is a real-life business case, developed together with regional industry.

Target group
Who is it for? This course has been developed for students who are about to enter their last year of secondary school students who have completed secondary school students who have started a study programme at Bachelor Degree level and want to have a short, intensive international experience. English Since project teamwork is at the heart of the programme and communication will be crucial, we recommend that you have mastered the English language at IELTS level 6.0 as a minimum (or equivalent).
Course aim
What will I get out of it?On completing the Course you will not only have gained 3 European Credits, but also a better idea of your study preferences, experience of the Avans Project-Based Learning education model and, last but not least: you will have made a lot of new international friends.
