This course is focusing on how to develop and initiate sustainable innovative and entrepreneurial projects. The main component of this course is an interdisciplinary project where you will be working with a challenge from the real world surrounding the university.
However for the first two weeks the lecturers and visiting guest speakers will supply you with up-to-date theory and tools relevant for working with innovative and entrepreneurial projects. The course is open for all graduate students - we welcome as much diversity as possible.Course offered by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Aarhus Entrepreneurship Centre, AU.

Course aim
By attending the course the students will gain the following competences and qualifications:
- Theoretical understanding of the most important concepts in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship
- Market- and business knowhow on a basic level aiming at creating value with ideas
- Ability to choose and apply creative techniques on the basis of insight in process and innovation
- Ability analyze needs of a customer or user with relevant tools and theories
- Ability to include economical, environmental and social sustainability in a new concept
- Ability to present and evaluate ideas and concepts applying well-established communication and sales techniques
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to identify and use professional and personal competences
- Confidence in carrying out smaller or huger improvements in the surrounding world
