The school is organised with the aim to improve the practical knowledge and experience of students of different backgrounds (management, economic, environmental, engineering, social or interdisciplinary) with regard to the instruments of sustainable management.
Sustainable management is a concept introducing a new quality of management in a company, a management that is maintaining economic viability of a firm with attention to the social needs and reflection on its environmental impacts by applying sustainable practices. Special attention during the course will be paid to the following instruments: IPPC requirements, ISO 14001, environmental auditing of investments' projects, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), economic instruments minimising environmental negative impacts of the companies, such as: fees, taxes, fines, subsidies and emissions trading.

Target group
The school is dedicated for students, PhD students and post-graduates who are interested in the sustainable management. The variety of backgrounds of the summer school participants and teachers will allow to exchange knowledge and experience and deepen the understanding of the performance of the instruments from various scientific and practical perspectives.
