The Midsummer Dream School will take place as event within the frame of Centre for Theatre Laboratory Studies, CTLS. The first part will take place in the theatre spaces at Aarhus University, the second part in the spaces at Odin Teatret in Holstebro, Denmark. As part of AU Summer University, The Midsummer Dream School is focused on the theatre laboratory as conceptualisation of creative processes in theatre and on relations between performer and spectator in space. Under this theme several interrelated workshops will take place.

The work will be concentrated on fragments from Shakespeare's Hamlet, view point techniques, and an installation work with Kirsten Dehlholm, founder of the performance group Hotel Pro Forma, will take place in a particular space in the city, Bruuns Galleri in Aarhus. At Odin Teatret the workshops will be focussed on montage techniques in practical work of physical and vocal training, run by Roberta Carreri, Jan Ferslev, Kai Bredholt, Augusto Omol, and in discussions on dramaturgical strategies with Eugenio Barba, founder of Odin Teatret. EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
