The series of peace treaties, commonly known as the Treaty of Utrecht, marked a turning point in European and even global history. It created a political system that held until World war I. This course will show the meaning and the backgrounds of this peace treaty. Lectures, literature and excursions will give a vivid picture of this turning point in global history.
