Tilburg University Top-hockey Course

Every workday will be started with a physical training in which you will increase your stamina, footwork, and power. After the physical training, students go to the university campus to attend a lecture or workshop. Thereafter the students will have hockey practice with the guidance of top level coach Roger van Gent.

Course aim
Youre young, youre a talented hockey player, and you also want to have a nice career? Then you need to learn how to perform best on the hockey field while studying at the highest level at the university. The Tilburg University Top-hockey Summer School will provide you two fun and interesting weeks wherein you will learn the necessary knowledge and tools to perform best in both hockey and study!In this course you will learn the necessary skills to combine a study with top class sports, including study tips and tricks. We will also provide you with some tools to make use of the competencies you developed with top class hockey in obtaining an internship or job. Next to that, the course will help you with information about what kind of food is best for you and at what times it is best to eat it. Also the mental aspects of the combination study and sports will be addressed with, for example, a workshop self-regulation.All these skills and knowledge will be provided in a sports driven summer school where you will be playing hockey on the field with top coach Roger van Gent. Roger won as a coach three times the Dutch Championship, five times a European cup and he was also the coach of the national team of Kenia. You will also increase your fitness with the guidance of our Tilburg University fitness specialists.
