Companies operating in technologically intense markets have to deal with fast change. In order to stay successful they continuously evaluate and readapt their business. Business models that give insight in the external, internal and dynamic fit of a company can play a role in this continuous redefinition of a firms strategy process. Goal of this three day course is to give students more insight in the applicability of business modeling:
- What is a business model and what the added value of it for a company?
- Why a company's business models has to change over time?
- What challenges are 21 century companies confronted with in defining their business model?
- What are the challenges to transform from one to another business model?
The issues will be discussed thereby using existing case material from companies such as TomTom NV, KPN and Microsoft / Intel.
