What is a value? Why do value conflicts arise? How should we react to them? Does 'intercultural dialogue' present a convincing solution to value conflicts?
Drawing on the theoretical foundations of the notion of dialogue and the results of empirical conflict research, we investigate whether and how comparative and intercultural philosophy can contribute to a better understanding and resolution of our current value conflicts in the political, educational, and environmental domains.
