The European Society for Developmental Psychology (ESDP) has recently decided to endorse the Council of Europe Recommendation Rec (2006) on policy to support positive parenting in Europe highlighting its importance for developmental and educational science, for family and social policy, and society in general.
For this reason, the ESDP has decided to support the organization of a Winter School on Evidence-based Parent Education Programs and best practices to promote positive parenting, to be held from January 10th to 14th 2011, on the Island of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The general aim is to provide research and professional skills that will help doctoral and post doctoral students to select, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of evidence-based family strengthening interventions and best practices to promote positive parenting.
Important Deadlines
1) Students should send their applications by October 20th 2010
2) Announcement of the list of selected candidates by October 30th 2010
3) Program announcement by November 15th 2010
