IN ORDER TO LIVE LIFE FULLY, YOU NEED AN AMBITIONEssay Many people have different ambitions in life, so the word ambition would have different definitions, depending on whom you ask. For example, what is the dream of a fat ladies or men? Of course is to slim their body. How about a poor man? I thought hell always said: I will be rich one day soon!. For that thing, they need ambition.It is ambition that makes us think we can be successful and lack of ambition that makes us think we cannot. Ambition is an eager and sometimes an exorbitant desire for elevation, honor, power or simply the achievement of something. Ambition is something that everyone, no matter of their age or cultural background has instinctively.Ambition can be a driving force for success, or in some cases a road to failure. True ambition is a virtue that leads man to great things. However, ambition ruled by ulterior motives becomes a vice that eventually leads man to destructive acts. Take the following example: just as in our history, ambition is portrayed as a troublesome driving force. A clear example of this type of ambition was in the presidency of Richard Nixon. Ambition and honor were attributes of this president in genesis, however, he gradually transformed into devious and untrustworthy man. Ambition is a corrupting force that grows in human selfishness, greed and cruelty and carries one to degradation.Or, Adolf Hitler is a good example of destructive ambition. His ambition was not limited to ruling Germany and he started on a drive to conquer the whole world that ultimately caused the Second World War and his dream of a racially pure empire would tolerate no Jews.Concerning the title, this statement is half true. I do agree that an ambition can make your life worth living, but an ambition should never become more important then life itself. If you focus your entire energy on reaching a single goal, you might run into problems that you cannot solve. And then you must ask yourself: What then?. What will I do if I cant achieve my ambition (by ambition I understand purely material things, by no means does love belong to this category because true love cant be stopped by an obstacle). What will I do if the single goal of my life suddenly disappears? These are questions that are very rarely asked and the response that could be offered is in many cases the solution to a situation that otherwise ends up tragically.Suicides, murders these are solutions for desperate people. Maybe, if they thought about this things more often, they would understand the nature of the feelings and they will be able to contain this overflow of emotion. And last of all, we must understand that life itself is more precious than every other goals or opportunities that come up. LIFE is the condition for all things to take place so, a thing cannot be and should never be placed before life. We have to understand that a car comes and goes, money are made and spent, friendship are made and lost, but our own life can never come back to us once we throw it away.I think that the only thing that is worth than life is love, because through love you can fulfill yourself, but love should not become the object of a petty thing.So, in my opinion it is good to have ambition, but as long as these ambitions remain nothing more, and as long as the person that you really are doesnt get hypnotize by your permanent struggle for more.This is a lesson that people should understand before becoming focused on only one aspect of life, thus ignoring the other ones. A life lived like that is at the most a half-life.
