The name of this celebration comes from the queen of flowers and spring, Flora.

The legend says that how the weather is going to be on that day, then the weather is going to be the same the hole week.
In the morning, 4 or 5 boys go together in the people’s gardens, with branches of willow and they sing beautiful songs. After they do this people give them Easter eggs and money. The people will get the willow branches.
In other places people take their martisor and put it in a sweet briar…The people take willow branches to the church. These branches of willow symbolize the awake of the nature and the fertility.
On this special day we also celebrate the people with flower names. Nobody is allowed to plant trees and flowers. The girls pick spring flowers, and on that day fish is eaten.
